Fix: Not Able to Type in CS:GO Lobby Chat

You fired up your CS:GO after a long day and got all your friends into the lobby with only de_dust2 selected in the maps (because you want to successfully perform a KQLY some day). Nice.

But then when you wanted to curse at your friend in the lobby chat, no matter how much you click-clacked on your 45º tilted Red Cherry MX Switch mechanical richb0i backlit keyboard, not a single letter came up into the text box, even though the cursor was blinking and everything.

No problem, I’ve got your backstab covered, bruv! It’s an old glitch that the CS:GO team has still not fixed yet. There’s a quick and EZPZ fix to this that literally takes about 3 seconds, and here is how to do it:

Step 1: Go to the inventory

At the bottom of the lobby page, you’ll see the “INVENTORY” button. Click on it.

This should—of course—take you to the inventory page, where you have either all your “richboi skinz” or just the default stuff like me.

Step 2: Go back

On your inventory page, at the bottom, you’ll see the “Back To Lobby” button. Click on it.

Step 3: Proceed to cursing at your friends

Try typing in the text box now, your chat should be working fine now. Proceed to cursing at your friends and/or insulting them for their ranks even though they’re just 1 rank below you.
